Great time in DC

Well tonight i worked in DC for a short amount of time. What was supposed to be a quick and easy unloadig of an AC at a Staples store at 19th and L street in DC turned into a miny adventure. After walking a couple of blocks to see the area, my co worker Bort and I made our way back to the Staples store and to our wow the building on the other side of 19th had its fire alarm screeming. A few seconds later the DCFD showed up in force with multiple units responding. The interesting part was that my boss was on his way with a delivery guy carrying the AC unit that had a mass of 1500lbs. I sat in the bar next door enjoying a few Harps and thinking " talk about bad timing". Things worked out as the guys showed up 5mins after the Police reopened the intersection and we took care of our business.

First oil in America

For those of you who did not know, Texas was not the original oil state. Pennsylvania was the original. Titusville PA to be exact, had the first successful drilling and would lead to names like Oil City PA and household names such as Pennzoil and Quaker State.

Computers in 2020

I recently found out that in 2020 computers will be as intelligent as humans costing only $1000, or so the theory of one man has it. According to this theory that was brought to my attention, in the year 2020 we will be able to purchase a computer with the itelligence of a human for $1000. Apparently there is an equation developed that predicts a linear movement that computer intelligence will evolve to. I don't know about you but that scares the shit out of me. Guess we shall see in 14 years.
